the Mendel Medal Award
This annual award, founded in 1928, was given on 22 March 1937 to
theologian Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. The award was named in honor of Gregor Mendel
O.S.A. father of modern genetics and Abbot of the Augustinian Monastery, Brno,
Czechoslovakia. |
