Nnenna Lynch ‘94  (left) and Amy Meisinger’94

were named to the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American Women’s At-large Third Team.  Nnenna Lynch, a seven-time NCAA All-American (three times in cross country, four in track and field), won her first individual NCAA title at the 1992 outdoor track championship in the 3,000 meter run.  In 1991, Lynch helped the Wildcats win their third consecutive NCAA cross-country national title, finishing 12th.  She also competed in the finals of the 3,000 meter run at the U.S.Olympic Trials held in June.  Amy Meisinger during the 1992 season rewrote Villanova’s record book by breaking all pitching records for softball—the overall record, earned run average, and strikeouts and complete games.  She also led the team to its first Big East Tournament last spring.
