Jake Nevin, Villanova’s veteran trainer
proudly wears the basketball net following the Wildcat’s
66-64 upset over Georgetown University for the NCAA championship, I April
1985. Villanova’s 1984-85 basketball season was dedicated to him. In
1984 he was inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame. Two months later the
university retired “jersey number one,” in Nevin’s honor. |
